He founded the Atlassian Developer Community, helped create the Marketplace Partner Advisory Council, ran App Weeks and Atlas Camps, and connected hundreds of Atlassians and Partners together.

Dan started using Jira 0.x back in 2001 and co-founded Adaptavist in 2005, creating a series of firsts. Created the first non-Atlassian plugin, was Winner of the first Codegeist competition by creating the Plugin Exchange (now Atlassian Marketplace), sold the first Commercial Plugin, founded the first Atlassian User Group (London), won the first Atlassian President’s Award for Technical Excellence, and so many more.
